Description
Permission of travel document issued on May 3, 1920. The front of the document states that Louis Bou-Sarhal was 21, a resident of Hammana, Lebanon, was travelling to the United States, and that his father's name was Boutros Bou-Surrhal. The back lists that he was accompanied by his wife, Alice, who was 20 years old. A black and white photograph of the two of them, dressed in western-style clothing, is included on the bottom right of the document. This document was valid for one year. It includes a number of stamps indicating the places that the Bou-Sourhal couple passed through on their journey. One of these stamps includes approval from Frederic Bird of the American Consulate in Beirut.
