Robert H. Hartmann worked with Beverly Tetterton, a librarian at New Hanover County Public Library, to find newspaper clippings published in Wilmington, North Carolina that referred to the Syrian community living in the city at the turn of the twentieth century.

This collection is comprised of newspaper clippings from Wilmington, North Carolina that refer to the Syrian community living in the city between 1877 to 1942. Some of the clippings are articles reprinted from other newspapers within North Carolina.
